OAKLAND, Ca. (www.incnow.tv) - While gun purchases continue to increase, residents in California turn their guns in exchange for cash.

Police are calling it a small victory especially on the heels of the Connecticut shooting. The buy back took 600 guns off the streets, 300 in Oakland, and 300 in San Francisco.

Oakland Mayor Jean Quan says she's hoping to hold another gun buy back soon. So many people showed up Saturday to turn in guns, officials ran out of money.
