HUNTINGTON, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Indiana State Police have arrested a Huntington county man and IPFW lecturer on a charge of child molesting.

65 year old Thomas A. Overton, of rural Roanoke was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with child molesting, a Class A Felony. Overton is also a lecturer at IPFW.

According to detectives, during a school program that educated children on “good touch, bad touch” a Huntington county juvenile boy came forward about an incident which allegedly occurred in 2002. The victim told authorities that he had received inappropriate touching by an adult male at a residence in rural Huntington, and that the touching was coupled with threats of violence against him if he told anyone.

After a month long investigation, the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division served an arrest warrant on Overton and took him into custody without incident. He is being held in the Huntington County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
