Local Company Turns To Nascar

A Hicksville company is hoping the big stage of NASCAR will increase already strong sales of a new product.

Widow Wax has sponsored Saturday's Nationwide race, the Widow Wax 125. The "spider web" logo will also be on Dave Blaney's #36 Sprint Cup car for eight races, including Sunday's Food City 500.

Justin Kuhn is the founder of Widow Wax, which is a wax protector and cleaner all in one. Despite starting the company just a few months ago, sale have been growing fast. The big break came when Welch & Wilson Motorsports contacted them about the possible Nascar deal
A full semi with widow wax's logo is in Bristol for the races, which will be televised nationally.

"I can't put a value on it, especially with it only being two months since we've started the company up. It can take years and we've done all this within a two month window." said Widow Wax founder Justin Kuhn.

The company has a large warehouse in Hicksville and is already looking to hire more people.
Fox is televising the Food City 500, while ESPN is carrying the Widow Wax 125 on Saturday night. Edgerton's Jason Dietsch is also a partner in the company.
