FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A couple weeks ago Chief Meteorologist Curtis Smith had the opportunity to do a live weather forecast a-top the new Parkview Heli-Pad.
Our own 5 o’clock new anchor Melissa Long was invited to "climb the crain" at the construction site.
Melissa climbed up 183-feet to the crane's cabin.
There were 30 mile-an-hour winds but the crane operator says that they don't shut-down unless the winds reach 40 miles-an-hour.
Currently, there are three cranes at the Parkview North Construction site and they're scheduled to be taken down in early November.
One interesting note?
Two of the cranes are operated by a husband and wife team!
