UNITED STATES (www.incnow.tv) – Government health officials are puffing out the second round of a graphic ad campaign in hopes of helping smokers kick the habit.
It’s a 48 million dollar campaign from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention consisting of television, radio, and online spots as well as print and billboard ads. The ads feature real-life stories of people affected by smoking including a mother and her seven-year-old son from New York who has asthma attacks from secondhand smoke.
The CDC believes its last effort convinced tens of thousands of smokers to quit.
