INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) - Health officials, who are developing a state-wide trauma system, say the Hoosier state needs more trauma centers.
State officials just wrapped-up a listening tour, discovered that only 58-percent of Indiana residents live within 45-minutes of one of the state's eight trauma centers.
Three are in Indy, two each in both Fort Wayne and Evansville and one in South Bend.
Trauma injuries are the top killer of Hoosiers under age 45.
