FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – There's been a firestorm of rumors surrounding the Fort Wayne chapter of the NAACP, leading to a re-election of its officers.
Current Fort Wayne NAACP President, Paulette Nellems, was re-elected Nov. 15, but others who challenged her filed complaints about how the election was run.
Now State NAACP leaders sent out a letter saying they're holding a re-election, but wouldn't allude as to exactly why.
The State NAACP Vice President says it's "an error on the state conference and that it's nothing personal, but a fact of fairness."
The re-election will be held next Saturday, Dec. 29, from 12 – 4:30 p.m. at the Allen County Public Library. All NAACP members within good standing are eligible to vote.
