FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Police say they are doing everything they can to put a stop to the violence.

That includes an increase to routine patrols around the city, but officials admit they simply don’t have the man power to be everywhere at once. They are advising residents to take these measures to protect themselves. Report any suspicious activity.

Be aware of your surroundings when walking home especially if you’re alone. Put your cell phone away. Avoid texting and phone calls will help eliminate any distractions.
