Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A semi tractor/trailer rear ends a cargo van on Coliseum Blvd. causing traffic to back up.

Just before noon Monday, a semi failed to stop in time at the intersection of Coliseum Blvd. and Lake Ave. crashing into the back of a cargo van which caused the van to lunge forward starting a chain reaction involving a total of five vehicles.

There were two reported injuries. An adult male was transported to a local hospital for treatment in fair condition. None of the reported injuries appear to be critical.

The cargo van was hauling boxes containing human blood from the American Red Cross at the time of the accident. None of the boxes were believed to be damaged.

Traffic was tied up in the northbound lanes of Coliseum for a little over one hour.
