Washington D.C. (www.incnow.tv) - Senior U.S. Senator from Indiana, Richard Lugar was honored on the Senate floor Tuesday morning in D.C.
Republican Senator Mitch McConnell and Democratic Senator Dick Durbin had glowing compliments for the out-going Senator Lugar.
(R) Minority Leader, U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell said, “Sen. Lugar has put his extraordinary talents at the service of this institution and his fellow countrymen. And I have no doubt he will be remembered as one of the best."
(D) Majority Whip, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said, “Dick Lugar's perspective on the world has been so insightful and so important for decades."
Lugar lost the May primary and will wrap-up 36 years in Washington at the end the month.
Lugar will then become a college professor and will run an internship program.
