SELMA, AL (www.incnow.tv) - Thousands of people march across an Alabama bridge to commemorate a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement.

Congressman John Lewis, an original Freedom Rider, joined Vice President Joe Biden and others for the annual “Bridge Crossing Jubilee” across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma on Sunday.

It was March of 1965 when voting rights activists were beaten by state troopers as they began a march to Montgomery an event known as “Bloody Sunday.” The 50 mile march prompted congress to pass the Voting Rights Act.
