FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- It happens after every natural disaster and the recent tornadoes in southern Indiana are no exception.

The Better Business Bureau is reporting a string of recent telephone and internet scams involving groups pretending to raise money for tornado victims.

Other organizations may donate "some" funds but keep most for themselves.

BBB President & CEO Mike Coil says, "Take that extra step to find out exactly who it is you're giving that money to. The worst thing in the world would be to give that money and have it end up in somebody's pocket instead of helping those people in southern Indiana."
