Woman's Body Found In Indianapolis Creek not Lauren Spierer or Dorothy Heard

INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Preliminary ruling by Marion County Coroner is that body found in river is not Laren Spierer or Dorothy Heard.

An autopsy was able to determin that the woman's body is that of an African American.

The remains were found in the "Fall Creek" Monday, July 4th.

Officials say witnesses found the body floating in the water stuck between debris around 7 p.m.

20-year-old IU student Lauren Spierer has been missing for more than a month and was last seen leaving a sports bar near the IU campus.

Also still missing, 74-year-old great-grandmother Dorothy Heard from Noblesville, who disappeared June 13th.
