Betty J. Tolbert, 61, of Fort Wayne, departed this life on Thursday, October 15, 2009. She was born November 6, 1947, in Marion, Ala.

Surviving are her daughters, Terri (Derrick) Greene, Ann(Lawrence) Tolbert, and Stephanie Tolbert;six grandchildren; mother, Gertrude Johnson; sister, Cora (Larry) Johnson; brothers, Ludie(Paula) Johnson and Ernest Johnson.

Betty was preceded in death by father, Levi Holman; brother, Curley R. Johnson; daughter, Jamie Lynn Tolbert.

Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Friday at Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center, with visitian one hour prior to services.

Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, arrangements by Carmichael Funeral Service.

I send my condolences. God's Spirit truly did work through Tammy's heart to demonstrate His love. Tammy provided the encouragement that my family so needed after the passing of my father a few months ago. She touched many lives and now she's at rest.
