IHSAA Announces New School Classifications

INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - The Indiana High School Athletic Association released updated classifications Tuesday.

Classifications are based on enrollment and the IHSAA's new tournament success factor for traditionally dominant programs.

Also, the addition of a sixth class in football has caused a shake-up for some area schools the next two years.

Homestead: 5A to 6A
Northrop: 5A to 6A
Warsaw 5A to 6A
Carroll: 5A to 6A
South Side: 5A to 4A
Bishop Luers: 2A to 3A
Central Noble: 1A to 2A
Statewide classifications

Boys Basketball
Columbia City: 4A to 3A
New Haven: 4A to 3A
Bishop Luers: 2A to 3A
Woodlan: 3A to 2A
Canterbury: 1A to 2A
Statewide classifications

Girls Basketball
Columbia City: 4A to 3A
New Haven: 4A to 3A
Bishop Luers: 2A to 3A
Woodlan: 3A to 2A
