FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A summertime sports tradition is changing its schedule to coincide with a larger golf event coming to Fort Wayne.

Mad Anthonys Charity Classic for Children will move from June to August starting this year. The event will be played on the Monday before the Hotel Fitness Championship, which is part of the PGA's Web.com Tour.

Both the Mad Anthonys and the Hotel Fitness Championship will be played at Sycamore Hills Golf Club; and the Mad Anthonys will serve as a pro-am. Players will be teamed up with professional golfers from the Web.com Tour.

Attendance at the Mad Anthonys has been an issue for years, and this could give the event a much needed boost.

The Red Coat Dinner will take place the Sun., Aug. 25, and the Mad Anthonys pro-am follows on Mon., Aug. 26. The first round of the Hotel Fitness Championship is Thurs., Aug. 29.
