Clarke Named ECHL Player of Week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Fort Wayne Komets winger Aaron Clarke was honored Tuesday as the ECHL Player of the Week for Mar. 24-30.

Clarke, 31, of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, scored 3 goals and 3 assists in two games against at South Carolina last week.

Two goals and two assists came in a 7-5 win over the Stingrays.

Clarke has 42 total points this season split between Fort Wayne, Toledo and Kalamazoo. The K's acquired him in a trade Mar. 13.

The ECHL Player of the Week Award is sponsored by Sher-Wood Hockey, who will donate a case of pucks to a Fort Wayne youth hockey organization.
