FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Tony Jasick has accepted the position as next men's basketball coach at Jacksonville University.

Jasick confirmed with 21Alive on Tuesday night that he has left IPFW after three seasons. Jasick went 52-47 with the Mastodons.

Jacksonville University officially announced the hiring Wednesday morning. The school will hold a press conference at 12:15 p.m. Thursday to formally introduce Jasick as the new coach.

Jasick's star rose the past year, leading the Dons to a second-place finish in the Summit League, a second-round trip to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament and one game away from a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Jasick served as an assistant coach to Dane Fife, who left IPFW to become an assistant at Michigan State.
