MONROEVILLE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Heritage High School football look to pick up the 2014 season where they left off a year ago.

Last season, the Patriots had a high-powered, balanced offense attack that led them Allen County Athletic Conference runners-up and took them to a 2nd round sectional game.

Branson Dossen, a 2,500-yard passer, returns at quarterback. Additionally, running back Conner Bleke rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and wide receiver Nate Roop caught just less than 500 yards. The Patriots intend to better the 27.7 points per game average of a year ago.

The Patriots finished 7-4 in 2013, despite their defense giving up an average of 29.3 points. If the defense finds their stride, Heritage should have another formidable year in the ACAC.
