By WISE Web Sports

(Indianapolis) - Snider won its second Class 4 - A. State High School Baseball Championship, using an incredible rally to beat Westfield 3 - 2 in the final game in Indianapolis. Trailing 2 - 0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Snider's Cody Johnson doubled to center field to drive in Alex Mitchell. Down to their final strike, the Panthers Tom Zumbaugh punched a clutch two - out single to right to knock in Nick Vachon with the game - tying run. The game went to extra innings and after Snider loaded the bases in the eighth, Mitchell sent the winning run home with a sacrifice fly. Spencer Anderson scored and the Panthers had the comeback victory and their second championship in the last four years. Snider finished its season 25 - 3. Snider pitcher Drake Everson was the 4 - A. Mental Attitude Award Winner.
