DETROIT, Mich> (21 Alive) - Without a hit since the start of July, Bishop Luers alum Kevin Kiermaier snapped an 0 for 16 slump with three hits, including two run scoring triples, and drove in three runs to spark the Tampa Bay Rays over the Detroit Tigers 7-2 Saturday.

After being retired in his first at bat, Kiermaier banged his first triple off the right field wall to drive in the first run of the game in the fifth, and then tripled into the left field corner in the sixth to knock in two more.

He added a ninth inning single for his third hit of the game.
