Caps Succumb In 13 At Lake County

June 4, 2012 Updated Jun 4, 2012 at 11:14 PM EDT

EASTLAKE, OHIO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Todd Hankins singled home the winning run in the 13th inning and the Lake County Captains edged the TinCaps 4-3 Monday night to take two of the three games in their series.

The TinCaps had taken a 3-1 lead in the seventh on a solo home run by Casey McElroy, but the Captains tied it when Cleveland Indians catcher Carlos Santana, playing for Lake County on an injury rehab assignment, belted a game tying two run homer in the eighth.

There it stayed until Hankins' game winning hit.

The TinCaps have Tuesday off, then head to West Michigan for three games starting Wednesday night.
