FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Former Dwenger star and Notre Dame standout Tyler Eifert has made his decision not to join the NFL draft and to stay at Notre Dame for his senior season of football.
Eifert's teammates came to Fort Wayne, including Tommy Rees, trying to get Eifert to stay. We have also been told that offensive coordinator; Chuch Martin did the same on Thursday.
Eifert had reportedly been given a 3rd round evaluation from the underclassmen advisory board, which helps project where a player might end up in the NFL draft.
Eifert had 63 catches for 803 yards and five touchdowns this season. That includes six catches for 90 yards in the Champs Sports Bowl against Florida State.
