Former Northrop Coach Dave Riley Dead At 78

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (www.incnow.tv) - Dave Riley, who coached Northrop to the 1986 girls state basketball title in the highlight of agreat career, has died at the age of 78.

Riley won 346 games as a coach before retiring in 1998, and that total included 57 straight from 1985 to 1987 with Northrop, including the 1986 title year.

Riley's Northrop teams won ten Summit Athletic Conference titles, seven sectionals, seven regionals, and two semi-states.

Riley also served as the cordinator for the 21 Alive Girls Basketball Player of the Week committee
