ANAHEIM, Cal. (21 Alive) - Bishop Luers grad Kevin Keiermaier belted his first major league home run Sunday in a 7-2 loss by his Tampa Bay Rays team to the Los Angeles Angels.
Keirmaier, who the night before had an infield single for his first big league hit, took a Mike Morin pitching over the left field fence with a man on on the seventh inning for his first major league homer.
And Kiermaier, who was recalled from Triple A late last week for the second time this season. also shined in the field with a leaping catch against the wall in the second inning to rob the Angels' Erick Aybar of an extra base hit.
