Homestead Baseball, Lakewood Park Softball Among Saturday Winners

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Homestead baseball and Lakewood Park softball enjoyed winning efforts on Saturday.

Homestead spotted Mishawaka Marian a 4-0 lead and then stormed back for a 10-5 win at the Bishop Luers baseball invitational.

The Spartans then lost the title game to Luers 12-8 Saturday night after excusing 14 players to attend the Homestead prom, and replacing them with younger reserves.

1A third ranked Lakewood Park swept a softball doubleheader at Northrop 10-7 and 12-11 in eight innings.
