Homestead Takes Soccer Sectional Title; Carroll, Canterbury Pass First Tests; Soccer Scores

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - State ranked Homestead, Carroll, and Canterbury were among boys soccer sectional game winners on Wednesday.

2A tenth ranked Homestead got three goals from Jacob Welbaum and two from Nick Anderson in blasting Columbia City 10-0 to win the Homestead sectional title.

Colson Wagoner tallied all of the goals in 15th rated Carroll's 3-1 win over Northrop at the 2A Carroll sectional, and advanced to meet Snider, a 1-0 winner over 19th ranked Bishop Dwenger, in the final on Saturday.

1A top ranked Canterbury got two goals each from Adam Antalis and Austin West in their 7-0 win over Manchester at the Canterbury sectional.
