Homestead Turns Back New Haven; Adams Central Routs Leo; Sat. HS Scores

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Homestead and Adams Central scored big boys high school basketball wins on Saturday night.

Zach Terrell scored 25 points and Nick Gamble 24 as Homestead came from behind to top New Haven 83-89 and remain unbeaten, both in the Northeast Hoosier Conference and overall.

V.J. Beachem led New Haven with 23 points.

The win sets up a key NHC showdown on Thursday with Norwell meeting Homestead in a battle of the two remaining conference unbeatens.

Maverick Baumer tallied 18 points and Isaac Luginbill 16 as Adams Central won their Allen County Athletic Conference battle of the unbeatens over Leo 90-64.

Gage Corner led Leo with 21.

The win leaves Adams Central alone at the top of the ACAC at 6-0 and they can win the league title by beating South Adams in their final conference game.
