UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Notre Dame won in a comeback, Purdue and Ball State squandered leads, and Ball State's offense was potent in a win Saturday.
George Atkinson III ran for a four yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to cap a 17-14 win for unbeaten Notre Dame over BYU. Tommy Rees, starting in place of Everett Gholson hit on a touchdown pass to Dwenger grad Tyler Eifert.
Purdue hit on an 83 yard scoring pass play and a 101 kickoff touchdown return, but Ohio State tied the game with ten second left and then won in overtime over the Boilermakers 29-22 in Columbus.
Indiana built an early lead on Stephen Houston and Deangelo Roberts touchdown runs, but lost on a touchdown pass by Navy in the final minutes 31-30.
Keith Wenning threw for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth in Ball State's 41-30 win at Central Michigan. Snider grad Barrington Scott ran for 99 yards and a touchdown and also caught one of Wenning's scoring passes.
