PITTSBURGH, Pa. (21 Alive) - James Connor ran for a one yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to snap a 21-21 tie and earn Pittsburgh a 28-21 win over 23rd ranked Notre Dame Saturday night.

Connor's touchdown followed Pitt's second interception of a Tommy Rees pass in the fourth quarter.

Rees did throw for 318 yards and two touchdowns, but completed less than half of his passes.

Tom Savage threw two scoring passes to Devin Street for the Panthers, who rose to 5-4 while Notre Dame dropped to 7-3 and saw BCS bowl hopes take a hit.
