Komets Add Defenseman to Roster

Fort Wayne (incnow.tv)- The Komets announced Wednesday that defenseman Jace Coyle has been acquired from Greenville for cash and added to the Fort Wayne preseason roster.

Coyle, 23, has split the past two seasons skating stints with the AHL's Texas Stars and the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads. Coyle has accumulated AHL totals of seven assists and eight points in 58 games with Texas while scoring ECHL totals of eight goals and 30 points in 50 games with Idaho.

Last year Coyle registered career highs of eight goals, 20 assists, 28 points and 32 penalty minutes in 37 regular season games with the Steelheads before dishing six assists and 10 penalty minutes in 17 playoff games.

Walch released-- The Komets also announced Wednesday that defenseman Brad Walch has been released from the preseason roster.
