MOLINE, ILLINOIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Stephon Thorne's goal just two and a half minutes into the game set the tone as the Komets bested the Quad City Mallards 4-1 Sunday to finish a 2-1 weekend.
Jean-Michel Rizk and Brent Henley added second period scores to push the lead to 3-0, and after Quad City got on the board in the third period, Chris Auger hit an empty net in the final minute to seal the decision.
Nick Boucher stopped 32 of 33 shots on goal.
The Komets head to Arizona for game on Friday and Saturday nights.
