FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - Josh Brittain scored the only goal of the game in the first period, and Charlie Effinger made it stand up for a 1-0 Komets win over the Gwinnett Gladiators Saturday night.
Effinger turned aside all 43 shots he saw in a standout effort in goal, allowing the Komets to split the two game weekend series with Gwinnett and moved their record in the ECHL to 3-2-1.
Brittain scored the lone goal late in the first period on assists from Brandon Marino and Colin Chaulk.
