TOLEDO (www.incnow.tv) - The Toledo Walleye broke open a tight game with four third period goals, and handed the Komets their fifth straight defeat Sunday night 6-2.
Matt Syroczynski and Brett Smith notched first period goals that gave the Komets a 2-1 lead, but former Komet Stephon Thorne tied it at two after one, before Toledo erupted in the third to put the game away.
Earlier in the day, the Toledo Oldtimers bested the Komet Oldtimers 8-7 in a shootout, with Dale Baldwin leading the Komets with a goal and three assists and Adam Lewis netting a pair of goals.
