EVANSVILLE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Jamie Lovell knocked in the game winning goal with 5:47 left in the game, breaking a 3-3 tie and helping the Komets top Evansville 4-3 Friday night.
It was the Komets' fourth straight win, and fifth in a row over the Icemen.
Chris Auger twice gave the Komets leads in each of the first two period with goals.
All Star Brett Smith had the other Fort Wayne goal.
Alex Kangas and Nick Boucher combined for the win in goal.
The K's host Bloomington on New Years Eve.
