PRESCOTT VALLEY, ARIZONA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Frankie DeAngelis broke a 5-5 tie with an early third period goal and the Komets, after wasting an early 4-1 lead, edged the Arizona Sundogs 6-5 Friday night.
Goals by Colin Chaulk, Chris Auger, Tom Mele, and David Starenky staked the K's to that 4-1 lead after one period, but after Jamie Lovell's second period goal made it 5-2, Arizona scored three unanswered goals to tie the game, the equalizer coming early in the third period, a minute and a half before DeAngelis' game winner.
Stephon Thorne hit an empty net for the final margin.
The two teams face off again on Saturday night.
