Leo Surprises Angola, Meets Concordia In 3A Garrett Final

GARRETT (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Leo overcame a twelve point first half deficit to hand 3A fourth ranked Angola a 45-42 upset loss Friday night, advancing to play Concordia in the 3A Garrett Sectional final.

Keanna Gary scored nine of her 16 points in the decisive fourth quarter rally, when Leo outscored Angola 17-9 to pull out the win and end the Hornets' 21 game winning streak..

Katie Pannabecker added eleven points, including two big baskets in that fourth quarter rally.

Ericka Rinehart led Angola with 17 points.

Concordia rode the 21 points of Courtney Smith to their 52-34 win over Woodlan that advanced the Cadets to the final against Leo.

Annalissa Kammeyer and Lauren Marinko each added ten points for Concordia.

Lauren Ehle's twelve points paced the Woodlan effort.
