INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Singles and double players from Fort Wayne each fell a win short of state tennis championships Saturday.
Canterbury freshman Leah Barnes reached the singles final with her 6-3, 6-4 semifinal win over Jasper's Olivia Boesin, but Barnes was then beaten in the final by Penn's Alexandra Brinker 6-4, 6-2.
Dwenger's Elizabeth Maxson and Audrey Rang won their way into the final of the doubles, but lost there to Abigail and Vanessa Madrigal of Highland 6-1, 6-2.
