(Kansas City) -- Frank Gaines scored 16 points to lead IPFW to a 65 - 60 victory over UMKC last night in Kansas City. Freshman Joe Reed added 12 points and Mario Hines added 11 points for the Mastodons. IPFW improved to 11 - 16 overall and 4 - 9 in the Summit League with just their third road win in 15 games.
