FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The annual ShinDigz National Soccer Festival will be moving from Hefner Fields on the campus of IPFW to the Fort Wayne Sport Club for its 2014 tournament.

In its 15th year, the National Soccer Festival was primarily played at Hefner Fields, but university officials and the promoters of the event could not reach a financial agreement.

The National Soccer Festival has been played at the Sport Club in the past and is anxious to return to the "home" of Fort Wayne soccer. Created in 1927, the goal of the Sport Club was the promotion of soccer football and German Culture.

The men's college teams expected to attend the event from Aug. 21-23 include Michigan State, Ohio State, Washington, Marquette, and Xavier.

Four women's college teams will also compete as well as 39 boys and girls high school teams from Indiana and Michigan. There will also be MSL Academy teams from Chicago and Indiana.
