FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - The Reading Royals handed the Komets a defeat for the second straight night Saturday, this one a 2-1 setback in a shootout.

Mickey Lang netted his ECHL leading 17th goal in the second period to get the K's on the board first, but Brandon Blandina pulled the visiting Royals even in the third with a shorthanded score.

Regulation and overtime failed to produce a winner, and in the seventh round of the shootout Michal Cajcovsky netted the deciding score that the Komets' Simon Danis Pepin could not match.

The Komets are now off until next Friday night when they host Toledo.
