Bishop Luers alum Thomas also had seven rebounds for the Buckeyes who moved to 11-3 on the year and evened up in the Big Ten at 1-1, while Purdue fell to 7-6 and 1-2 in conference play.
Terone Johnson led the Boilermakers with 16 points and former South Side star Rapheal Davis added eight points off the bench.
