FORT WAYNE, Indiana (21 Alive) - The TinCaps wasted Joe Ross' best mound effort in three weeks in falling 3-0 to the Bowling Green Hot Rods Friday night.

Ross threw six shutout innings, but his teammates could not get him any runs, and Bowling Green notched their first run in the seventh off reliever Trevor Gott.

The Hot Rods added two more in the ninth, the first on a mammoth home run by Justin O'Connor, to complete the three game series sweep.

The TinCaps move north to Great Lakes to open a four game series on Saturday night.
