TinCaps Lose Series Opener At West Michigan

COMSTOCK PARK, MICHIGAN (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Three straight run scoring singles in th third inning made the difference and the West Michigan used those hits to highlight their 6-1 win over the TinCaps Wednesday night.

Casey McElroy staked the TinCaps to a 1-0 lead by singling home Jace Peterson in the first inning,

But then Brandon Loy, Eugenio Suarez, and Steven Moya strung together those three run producing base hits back to back to back and West Michigan was in front to stay.

They stretched out their lead with a run in the fifth and two more in the seventh.

Game two of the series is Thursday night.
