Wedge Makes ESPN Debut

LAKELAND, Fla, (21 Alive) - His face time on air was limited to about 30 seconds before the start of the game, but Fort Wayne native Eric Wedge made his debut Tuesday as an analyst on ESPN.

Wedge did analysis for the Detroit Tigers-Atlanta Braves spring training game.

Wedge's duties in his first season with ESPN after his major league managing stints in Cleveland and Seattle will primarily be as an analyst on Baseball Tonight.

He is a graduate of Northrop High School in Fort Wayne.
