Woodlan and Lakewood Both Turned Away

(Indianapolis)- Woodlan made it one step further then a year ago but just couldn't quite seal the deal in the 2A Softball State Finals. The top ranked Warriors battled with No. 2 South Putnam into the 9th inning tied at 1. Putnam plated 4 in the 9th and Woodlan comes up short, 5-1.

Lakewood Park was playing in the 1A Softball State Finals. Lakewood fell to Tecumseh 5-1.

Neither Woodlan or Lakewood has ever won a state title in any sports. To see highlights of both games click on video link.
