LSU Boots Star Quarterback

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Les Miles has run out of patience with
Ryan Perrilloux. The LSU football coach has kicked
the promising quarterback off the team.
Miles says Perrilloux "didn't fulfill his obligation as an LSU
student-athlete."
Perrilloux has had legal and disciplinary problems throughout
his college career. He was suspended last summer and again in
February. He was reinstated April 6th but was not allowed to
participate in LSU's spring game. Redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee and
junior Andrew Hatch split time as the quarterback of the Tigers.
Perrilloux was a backup to Matt Flynn during last season's run
to the BCS championship. He completed 51 of 75 passes for eight
touchdowns and two interceptions over 12 games. He was selected MVP
after the SEC Championship win against Tennessee in December but
played sparingly in LSU's victory over Ohio State for the national
title.
Perrilloux is expected to finish out the spring semester,
according to the university.
