(Fort Wayne) - Five days after Notre Dame offered him a football scholarship, Bishop Dwenger tight end/safety Tyler Eifert called Tuesday to accept it and join the Irish 2009 recruiting class.
Eifert told Indiana's NewsCenter he is being recruited as an athlete, and his position will be determined when he gets to Notre Dame.
The 6-5, 220 pound Eifert, who says he could bulk up to 250 in college and not lose any quickness, caught 30 passes for over 600 yards and four touchdowns last season as a Dwenger junior, nd hd 40 tackles and three pass interceptions on defense.
