SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Notre Dame receiver Richard Jackson has
told coach Charlie Weis he plans to transfer to a school closer to
his home in Florida.
Jackson played on special teams as a freshman in 2006 but missed
last season with a wrist injury.
He was listed as third on the preseason depth chart at the
X-receiver spot. Weis says he met with Jackson last night and this
morning to make sure he had thoroughly thought through his
decision
