Dons Cruise In Exhibition

(Fort Wayne) - IPFW pulled away Olivet College in the second half Monday night for an 85-54 exhibition win, holding the visiting Comets to 22 second half points.

"We were able to get our new guys some good positive experience," IPFW coach Dane Fife said. "However, we need to do a better job defending the post. Our main focus was to get better and get ready for Xavier and Michigan State coming up."

Jeremy Mixon led five Dons in double figures with 13 points, while Delivez Yearby and David Carson each had twelve, and Ben Botts and Igor Mocevic added ten each.

iPFW opens the 2008-09 regular season on Friday night at Xavier.
